What are new words

New words are parts of the content for translation that were not previously translated by translators working on your projects. All previously translated content is kept on your account, and the system reuses it automatically during translations. Such reused content does not deplete your new words subscription allowance. Only new parts of the content will reduce it.

For example: if a sentence is used in your content several times, only the first instance of the translation will reduce the New-Words allowance. All other cases of that sentence will be translated automatically but will not reduce the allowance.

What is the difference between translation words and pages?

Some file types, like images or PDFs, do not provide an easy way to calculate words. Per-page pricing has been introduced for some file types to help create cost estimates faster. Each of the TextUnited Platform pricing tiers offers a certain amount of words and pages included in the subscription. If those are insufficient, additional words and page packs can be purchased separately to allow more content translation.

Can I change my plan later?

Of course! You can upgrade or downgrade your subscription plan from within your dashboard in the portal at any time.

What if I have a certain period without the need to translate?

No problem. For those months, simply allow your subscription to switch to the Free plan at the end of a month. You can switch back to an active plan when your translation activity starts again – all your data stays on your account intact.

Are both Machine and Human Translation included in the plans?

The plans include only the use of the system (software), which means you can automatically translate and allow your users to translate and correct translations.

The managed human translation service from TextUnited is charged separately.

How does my free trial work?

Your risk-free trial provides unrestricted access to TextUnited’s Essential plan for 14 days. You will be able to choose another plan and begin your subscription at any time during or after your trial. No credit card is needed until you have selected a plan and confirmed your subscription type in the dashboard.

What payment methods are accepted?

You can pay for your plan’s monthly or yearly subscription using any major credit card. Additional payment methods are available with our yearly Enterprise and Custom plans. Contact sales for more information.

What is a user in TextUnited Platform and how many users can I have?

User is anyone with an account assigned to your TextUnited platform instance. Each translator, reviewer or project manager account reduces the total allowance.
