Automate translation workflows with TextUnited and n8n

Connect translation to the workflows you already run in n8n. Translate text and files, create translation projects, monitor processes, and send finished translations straight to the next step.

Install in n8n:
npm install @textunited/n8n-nodes-textunited

What you can automate

Make translation part of your automation

Content rarely starts or ends in a translation platform. It comes from repositories, content systems, databases, forms, spreadsheets and internal apps, and once translated it needs to go somewhere else.

Use n8n to trigger and orchestrate the process. Use TextUnited to handle the translation. Then move the result to whatever comes next, automatically.

Translate content instantly

Send text to TextUnited, choose source and target languages, and pass translated content straight to the next step, no translation project needed.

Best for: dynamic content, product data, support content, forms and system-to-system workflows.

Translate files automatically

Receive files from another system, prepare them, start machine translation, track progress and pick up the translated files when they’re ready.

Best for: documents, recurring file translation, portals and automated document workflows.

Create translation projects

Turn incoming text or files into structured TextUnited projects. Pick an in-house or managed workflow, depending on how your translation process is organized.

Best for: documentation, localization operations, recurring content batches and work that needs people involved.

Monitor translation processes

See whether a process is running, completed or failed, and let n8n logic decide what happens next.

Retry failed processes, stop one when needed, or continue the workflow as soon as translation is done.

How it works

From trigger to translated content

  1. 1

    Start anywhere

Trigger your workflow from a webhook, app, repository, database, spreadsheet, schedule or another n8n integration.

  2. 2

    Send content to TextUnited

Choose what you need: translate instantly, process a file, or create a translation project.

  3. 3

    Let the workflow run

TextUnited translates while n8n orchestrates everything around it. For longer jobs, n8n checks back until the translation is ready.

  4. 4

    Continue automatically

Publish, save, return to another app, notify your team, or kick off the next workflow.

File translation

Translate an uploaded file automatically

A user or app uploads a file. n8n sends it to TextUnited, starts translation, checks the process until it’s complete, and returns the translated file on its own.

Built for localization

Translation automation with more control

You could connect a general-purpose AI model to n8n and ask it to translate. But production translation workflows often need more than a prompt.

TextUnited gives you a dedicated translation layer that sits inside your automation.

Multiple target languages

Send content from one source language into several target languages in the same workflow.

Translation domains

Apply the right domain for instant text translation, so the translation gets the right context.

In-house workflows

Create projects that use your own translation teams and resources.

Managed workflows

Send projects through a managed process when you don’t want to handle translator allocation yourself.

Human review

Include proofreading in supported in-house project workflows when a person needs to check the work.

Translation process control

Track asynchronous processes and build n8n logic around running, completed or failed states.

Clear roles

n8n orchestrates. TextUnited translates.
