Text United collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Text United’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how Text United’s visitors use its website.

The processing starts when you create an account and ends when you delete it or ask us to remove the data.
The amount and type of information that the Processor gathers depend on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who sign up for a free account to provide his/her name, email address, company name, and country of residence. Those who engage in transactions with Text United – by purchasing a subscription plan, for example – are asked to provide additional information, including as necessary the personal and financial information required to process those transactions. In each case, Text United collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with Text United. Text United does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. Visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities. Visitors who registered on Text United websites can (by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org) ask for a copy of their personal information, ask for the information to be corrected or updated or ask us to remove their personal information from our records.
The Processor discloses personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors, and affiliated organizations that need to know that information in order to process it on Text United’s behalf or to provide services available at Text United websites.
The Processor shall ensure the confidentiality of the data in accordance with Art. 28 (3) sentence 2 letter b, Art. 29 and Art. 32 (4) GDPR. All persons who, according to the order, have access to the user’s data listed under point 1 (3) must be obliged to maintain confidentiality and be informed about the special data protection obligations.
Text United will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors, and affiliated organizations, as described above, Text United discloses personally-identifying information only when required to do so by law.
Should a user make use of Text United services in a way, not in line with our Terms & Conditions, we are entitled to use and to pass on Personally-Identifying Information to third parties for the purpose of pursuing further legal action.
We assume all the content you are managing in your Text United account does not contain any personal data. If the strings you are translating do contain personal information, make sure you redact it before loading it into the system.
Text United (the Processor) uses third party vendors and hosting partners to provide the necessary hardware, software, networking, and storage. Text United uses IBM Cloud’s data centers located in Amsterdam in the Netherlands in the EU www.ibm.com/cloud/security to run its core system.
The only personal data that leaves the EU is the name and email we send to our payment processor, Stripe, which is located in the US.
Within its area of responsibility, the Processor shall manage the internal organization in a way that meets data protection requirements. Text United will take technical and organizational measures to adequately secure the data against misuse and loss in compliance with the requirements of the GDPR.
We use “Google Analytics” to analyze our website. Data processing takes place on the basis of the legal provisions in Art. 96 (3) TKG as well as Art. 6 (1) letters a (consent) and f (legitimate interest) GDPR. The information generated by the cookie about your visit to our website is transmitted to and stored on Google servers.
We may periodically update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address or by placing a prominent notice on our site.
